Documentary

Each year I make a series of six documentaries for a Westminster multi-party think tank about charities that are doing great work.  I make these by myself, carrying the gear, shooting, sound recording, editing, grading.  I enjoy knowing about every part of the filmmaking process and owning good equipment which I know how to use really well.  There’s a pleasure in the craft.  Here is one of the short documentaries I made:

Kelly’s Story

Having an array of my own equipment means I can make a film if a subject takes my fancy.  I do a lot of pro bono work for causes I believe in and sometimes I make a film because it just takes my fancy.  When I met this extraordinary man, Charles, I asked him if I could capture him on film:

Charles – a Life in Five Books

Tesco Pension

Turning Kerry Shale into Stanley Kubrick

Autumn Leaves – Brockley Nature Reserve
